ABOUT US
The
Mid-Hudson Woodworkers is a chapter of the Northeastern
Woodworkers
Association
(NWA), "a group of people who love woodworking and want to
get better at it". The Mid-hudson chapter is based in the
Kingston, NY area.
MEETINGS
We meet on
the
third Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM at the Hurley Reformed Church,
11 Main St. in the town of Hurley, NY. For directions to the

DUES
Annual Individual dues for the NWA are $25 per year.
ACTIVITIES
We
conduct classes and workshops separately and in conjunction with the
NWA. Meetings include guest speakers, show-and-tell and Members
Helping Members sessions. There is also a lending library of
books and audio-visual materials. The Asociation also works
with
community groups and non-profits in woodworking.
SHOWS
The Mid-Hudson
Woodworkers Show is held every Fall at the Hurley Reformed
Church. We also actively participate in the NWA's Woodworkers
Showcase in Saratoga Springs, NY every Spring.
FISKE FUND
This is a scholarship fund that helps to pay for classes which will
improve woodworking skills. For more information.
SPECIAL
INTEREST GROUPS
In addition to our regular meetings, there are special interest groups
which conduct their own meetings:
Kaatskill Woodturners - meet at 7 PM on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Opdahl School of Higher Turning
Scroll Saw Group - meet at 7 PM on the 1st Thursday of the month at the
Opdahl shop
Community Service Group - meet every Wednesday morning
